Summer, 2005A technology developed by the EcL is being licensed by Prevtec microbia

A spin-off company, Prevtec microbia, was recently derived from the Université de Montréal. Prevtec, co-founded by Drs Fairbrother and Nadeau, is presently undertaking the steps for licensing by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency of a live vaccine for the control of postweaning diarrhea in pigs. This vaccine is based on a technology which was developed as part of the research carried out in the EcL. [>]
